Cold Patch-Asphalt Repair Mix, 25 kg.

Repair-asphalt fill mix to repair potholes in asphalt and paved roads.

Ingredients: Minerals and biofluxed-bitumen

Fiberglass mats.

Glassgrid mats made from fiberglass, used between cladding layers of the asphalt that increases strength and durability up to three times. It is environmentally friendly and 100% recyclable. Made with self adhesive, making the on-site installation simple and efficient.

Pothole Tamper, 6kg.

Pothole tamper for the use of repairing potholes in asphalt and paved roads.

Road Patch.

The Peel & Seal road patch has a durable surface that ensures a safe isolation and longer durability.

Bucket Heater.

Effective equipment that heats up the repair-asphalt mix inside the bucket, making the material softer and more manageable to use.

Miðbik - Innovation in Road Construction

Miðbik ehf. is a innovative company founded in 2018 with the purpose of designing and developing equipment to produce repair-asphalt in the most environmentally friendly way possible.

A large part of the repair-asphalt used in Iceland is imported from Europe and the United States, which leaves a significant carbon footprint with its costly and highly inefficient transportation.

Miðbik‘s solutions are cutting edge, partly because the heating and drying of the mineral used in the production uses a renewable energy source from central heating and electricity, while conventional production methods burn diesel oil.

In 2020, Miðbik set up a production line in the company‘s headquarters in Eyrarbakki, which serves the Icelandic market, giving customers the benefits of the optimization created by producing repair-asphalt domestically.

Miðbik is a leader in supplying equipment and material for temporary asphalt repairs as well as importing products from Adfors, which specializes in technical solutions that increase the strength and durability in paved surfaces, among other things.

Miðbik has received invaluable support from various sources for the development of its solutions, in particular from the Technology Development Fund, The South Iceland Development Fund (SASS) and Islandsbanki‘s Entrepreneurship Grant.
